What's better than Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating on one Tesla? Paint Correction and a Ceramic Coating on two Teslas of course!​

To top everything off, blue is one of our two favorite colors here at H2NO Elite Detailing.​

These cars are only 7 months apart in terms of age but they both look fresh out of the factory now. They are both 2019 Teslas from the Freemont Factory.

​

Just as with the red Tesla, even though the cars were less than one year old, they still needed some Paint Correction. There were swirls from drive-thru car washes along with some scratches from general use. Paint Correction is a must before a Ceramic Coating can be applied because even these minor swirls can cause the Ceramic Coating to not adhere properly, thus not giving the customer the full guaranteed warranty.

As with the red Tesla, there was a spot on one of the cars and common in many high-end vehicles with sensitive paint is that it came with a blemish in the paint. There was a white spot about the size of a golfball on the wheel well. it is visible in one of the pictures below highlighting a side by side comparison of before and after Paint Correction. These blemishes are factory defects and highly visible in the sun.

On the other car, there were buffer trails left over from polishing at the factory. All these problems are easily fixed with Paint Correction from a highly qualified detailer.

Because of the VERY soft nature of the clear coat on Teslas, Paint Correction on this vehicle required very fine polishes and pads. Most of the vehicles were corrected in only a few passes with no swirls, trails or hazing left behind. After wiping off all residual polish, the only big step left was to apply the Ceramic Coating.

The entire car was prepped with IGL Pre-coat to make sure there was absolutely nothing left on the paint. We gave the vehicle one coat of the base layer and two hours later gave it its topcoat. The Ceramic Coating process itself can be very time-consuming. A sedan this size can easily take 5+ hours from pre-coat to the final layer of the Ceramic Coating being wiped off. 

 

After giving the owners the do's and don'ts of Ceramic Coatings, the car was ready for the photoshoot. Thanks to Paint Correction these cars are now scratch-free and have a mirror finish. They also have UV protection, heat protection, scratch resistance, anti-fouling, and much more thanks to the 4-year Ceramic Coating.
